Who needs toys?

Just thought I'd share a few pics of Maisie taken a couple of weeks back when they came to visit. It just goes to show what a great tme you can have with a washing up bowl and a mini watering can, provided of course that you are only16 months old!

How Cute! Hopefully when she gets older, she will continue to find fun in simple things. It sure beats watching TV, Playing video games, playing on the computer, text mesaging, etc. etc. etc...

A friend of mine spent years in Africa. Both her children were born there too.
The place where they lived was so remote that there was no choice but to improvise toys from pieces of string and bits of wood.

When the children were around seven the time came to move to a big city in Europe.
One of there outings led them to a huge toy superstore. The daughters looked around at all the colourful and - to them - alien things and said 'but mum. they have nothing here!'

    Aww, isn't she darling?

It's a bit like buying all sorts of contraptions for kids and then they want to play with the box it was packed in!

    Cheers,
    Anne-Marie

You have the greatest garden. Also cool pictures of Norfolk beach.

Yes, it's sad about the little fella next door. Stephani has a nice friendship with his Mum and with the older brother. They are a nice family. It's such an awful disability, hopefully he can develop. I understand there are ways to help them communicate, but some are unreachable, and it's just hearbreaking.

That's so cool that Mark played the video of the song. I need to write some new songs though, but am a bit suck at the moment. Can't wait till you come visit.

Maisie clearly already knows that wearing a hat will get you noticed. She is adorable, you are so lucky to get to spend time with her doing the important stuff-playing!

Hope you are well Mum! I would love to chat soon. My friend had a similar situation as you and Mark delt with on the blogs with "sprog" and I wanted to give her advice on it based on your experience. Perhaps one of these days here soon we can talk via phone again!
